May - Fun at the Creek and Other Adventures
Though it is only last month it seems a loooot longer ago than that! We took a Saturday afternoon and headed up to Andrew's Grandma (affectionately nicknamed GG) She has a beautiful home on a beautiful farm, and like me, - her husband built their home for her when they got married, which makes it even more special.
There is a creek that runs along part of her property, and is a favorite spot for camping and fishing with her grandsons... This is the first time I had been down there, becuase Andrew and Jason both had new kyaks they wanted to take out!
Justice was pretty excited about the idea!
Thankfully he is small enough to fit in with Dad. He LOVED it!
Jason tries a little fishing on the go....
Felicity and I stayed in a gorgeous clearing shaded by huge trees... She actually was very very good, and happy the whole evening.
It was that perfect temp- not to hot, not to cold.
Heather, Jason's wife has fished all her life, and did for a little while 'till she decided to hang out with Felicity and I... nice girl talk time.
Pretty wildflowers were every where.
Felicity kept cracking me up with her 'smushed' faces on her crib. - It is so funny how ugly a face an adorable little girl can make! :)
Almost time to go home, - but Justice reallly wants Uncle Jason to teach him to fish.
No-one better for the job. :)
Unfortunately, Justice 'helped' Uncle Jason get his line snagged and lost a lure. - So the fish were spared.
These are some even older pictures from this spring of nephews Mason and Madison. We've missed seeing them- but had a lot of fun when I got a chance to babysit this spring.
They are quite the little artists!! :)
And yes, - I DO believe in mixing colors - and encourage it! How else do you know how colors work?
They were all VERY happy with their one-of-a-kind created colors, and all kept trying to find words to describe them.
"This one looks like mud, with some blueberries in it, and just a smidge of chocolate" (Justice!:)
Random happy picture.
Realized one morning they just happened to be wearing matching outfits, and decided to take impromtu photo shoot. - Of course neither of them wanted to co-operate! After 20 minutes I decided to give up- but Thankfully the second to last picture turned out!! and yes, - it was a favorite toy that finally got Felicity looking the right way at the right time.... Photographers REALLY do need a few extra arms!! :)
